When mentoring gives you wings 🕊️💼
When Ezgi met Françoise through DUO for a JOB Lyon, she already had HR experience from Turkey, but also many doubts about her ability to find her place in the French job market.
Yet, from their very first meeting, a natural bond formed. Françoise still remembers that first encounter, which she describes as a "true joy."
Of course, they worked on job search tools. But Françoise quickly realized that the main challenge wasn't just Ezgi's CV: it was primarily about helping her regain confidence in her voice, her background, and everything she has to offer. So, over the months, Françoise encouraged Ezgi to seize opportunities she likely never would have considered on her own. She pushed her to share her story, to speak up, and to dare to put herself out there.
Together, they became a fantastic ambassador duo for DUO for a JOB: sharing their story with the Fondation bioMérieux, participating in a video for France Travail, and recording a podcast with the Fondation IAD. Each time, Ezgi stepped a little further out of her comfort zone. Every time she spoke, it was another small victory.
And in a beautiful turn of events, almost exactly at the end of their 6-month mentorship, Ezgi landed a fixed-term contract as an HR Assistant at MacDermid Performance Solutions 🥳🎉
Françoise sums up this journey with great emotion:
