Everything is better when we work together 🤝
At 20, Valy left Afghanistan to rebuild his future in France. He quickly faced the same challenges as many young refugees: mastering a new language and almost entirely redefining his career path.
At our Lille branch, he met his mentor, Martine. A retired HR and administration professional, she is already mentoring her 7th young person with us. Yet, every partnership remains unique.
For 6 months, they moved forward step by step. Martine helped Valy improve his French, understand the nuances of the French professional world, and organize his ideas. She guided him with method and kindness, always following one simple principle: moving forward together, without doing the work for him.
Little by little, Valy regained his confidence. His career goals began to take shape around business and economics, and he started to envision his future in concrete terms.
The result: he has now been accepted into a university bridging program 🎉
And what about Martine? She sums up what many mentors experience:
