A little over a year ago, Bouchra arrived in France. Having come alone to pursue her studies in Artificial Intelligence and Data, she walked through the doors of DUO Lyon with the goal of landing an internship.
There, she met Pierric, who spent over 40 years in the food industry, working his way up from operational roles to general management. Together, they also worked on building her self-confidence: learning to assert herself, saying no, and claiming her space.
There was no shortage of challenges. An internship cancelled at the last minute, endless administrative hurdles, a previous employer who never paid her... These were all obstacles that could have discouraged her, but Bouchra's resilience left a lasting impression on Pierric.
And her tenacity finally paid off: thanks to Pierric's network and the DUO for a JOB network, Bouchra landed an internship at an American company, perfectly aligned with her master's thesis 🥳
