Partnerships Manager

DUO for a JOB is a non-profit organization founded in 2013 in Brussels and operating in Paris since 2019. It offers an intergenerational mentoring program matching young job seekers from immigrant backgrounds (aged 18-33) with volunteer mentors over 50, who share their professional experience to help them find employment. Since 2013, the organization has supported more than 10,000 young people and employs over 100 people across Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.

DUO has been operational in France since 2019 and currently has 4 branches (Lille, Paris, Marseille & Lyon).

Under the supervision of the Head of Development (France), in collaboration with a second Partnerships Manager and the European Development team, the Partnerships Manager will be responsible for:

Developing and managing relationships with private partners (businesses, foundations, major donors, taxe d’apprentissage)
Supporting the development and management of relationships with local (mainly public) partners to advance DUO for a JOB’s mission in France.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Management and Retention

• Nurture and maintain relationships with existing partners to ensure renewal and long-term collaboration.


• Ensure regular communication and engagement with partners, providing updates on the impact of their support.


• Support the development and implementation of a tailored communication strategy to build loyalty of our private partners.


• Produce financial and qualitative impact reports for partners.

Prospecting, Monitoring, and Innovation

• Identify and engage new partners (through calls for proposals, direct outreach, or identified contacts) and create tailored proposals to secure partnerships.


• Support the identification and mobilization of local public and private partners, in coordination with Branch Directors.


• Manage all stages of new partner acquisition to meet DUO for a JOB France’s financial goals: writing applications, presenting the organization, negotiating, drafting partnership agreements, and reporting.


• Develop and execute a strategy to increase funding via the apprenticeship tax (taxe d’apprentissage), in coordination with communication and operational teams.


• Conduct continuous monitoring of philanthropy trends and innovative funding mechanisms.

Collaboration and Coordination

• Work closely with Branch Directors to align partnership opportunities with operational needs and integrate fundraising goals into field actions.


• In coordination with the communication and development teams, raise awareness among operational teams regarding private fundraising and apprenticeship tax challenges.


• Organize information sessions (in coordination with communication and development teams) to strengthen the staff understanding of fundraising initiatives.


• Facilitate the monitoring of financial commitments (commitment tracking tables) in collaboration with finance, development, and country management teams to ensure operational delivery complies with financial requirements.


• Coordinate with the communication team to ensure visibility for private partnerships, and with relevant support and operational teams to ensure relevant follow up of partnerships.

• Commitment: Genuine alignment with the social mission and strategy of the organization; highly motivated to contribute to the socio-professional integration of young people with an immigrant background, the promotion of seniors' skills, and social cohesion.


• Experience: 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role that directly resulted in increasing organizational revenue.


• Languages: Full professional proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken).


• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, strong powers of persuasion, and the ability to build, manage, and grow relationships with partners.


• Writing Skills: Outstanding written communication skills.


• Mindset: Creative and innovative approach, proactive, autonomous, highly organized, and rigorous.


• IT Skills: Proficiency in standard office software (Google Suite, Microsoft Suite); knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.

• Contract: Full-time, Permanent Contract (CDI), Statut Cadre


• Location: Wikivillage (Paris 20th arrondissement), a hub for social innovation.


• Travel: Occasional travel within France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, as well as to our different French branches (Lille, Lyon, Marseille).


• Remote Work: Occasional teleworking possible.


• Salary: Commensurate with experience.
